I have dedicated my life to serving people—first as a social worker, then as a successful entrepreneur. From helping at-risk youth to building businesses that created jobs across Medicine Hat, I’ve always put community first. Now, I am ready to bring my experience and vision to City Council.
About Don
Service, Business, and Community
Don’s story is rooted in service, leadership, and community. Starting his career as a social worker, he helped children and families in crisis, created programs that kept youth in school, and worked tirelessly to strengthen families in Medicine Hat. He later transitioned into business, founding Antonio’s Pizza and managing several successful ventures, including restaurants, convenience stores, and national distribution networks that helped make Spitz Sunflower Seeds a Canadian household name. Over the years, Don has also been involved in international trade, healthcare products, and local transportation, always focused on creating opportunities and supporting innovation. With decades of experience across social services, small business, and community development, Don is ready to bring proven leadership and a people-first vision to City Council—building a stronger, safer, and more affordable future for Medicine Hat.
